Magnetic Christmas Tree

I have seen so many pins on Pinterest that display felt Christmas trees that children can decorate over and over again. They all are so cool and I knew Evan would love the idea, but I wanted to change it up a bit. Evan really likes to play with magnets on the fridge, so I decided I would come up with a way to make a magnetic Christmas tree he could decorate. At first, I was going to use one of those big rolls of paper to draw and paint a Christmas tree on, but then I saw this post. She found green contact paper and cut a tree from it. Then she stuck it on a window.  I realized I could do the same, but stick it to the fridge. And that would be much easier! As you can tell lately, I am all about what’s easiest. 🙂 But it gets better. I found a pack of colorful circle magnets at a great price. I didn’t even need to make ornaments and stick magnets to them. So if you are short on time, this is for you! I also printed out a star template on yellow paper for a tree topper. Just Google search “star template” to find one you like or make one yourself. I plan on using adhesive magnets I already have to keep the star up, but I misplaced them. So for the time being, we’re using one of the yellow magnets. I also plan on making ornaments and putting magnets on the back them in the future, but this is perfect for us this year.

That’s right, you can create hours of fun this Christmas and it won’t even break the bank or take you hours to make.  Let me tell you, Evan LOVES this thing! He goes back to play with it all throughout the day.  When he woke up this morning, he came downstairs and went right to the refrigerator to decorate his tree.
