These strawberry slushies are super easy to make and so delicious! All you need is two simple ingredients and a blender. Your kids are sure to enjoy this fun summer treat!

A super simple strawberry slushie recipe that kids love! It's the perfect summer snack and a great way to cool down on a hot summer day.

My kids LOVE popsicles! However, I don’t like the ingredients in many of them. Sometimes I make my own popsicles, but that’s not always feasible. So I went looking for popsicles I felt good about giving them. Enter Outshine® bars. I have been buying these for about two years and my kids eat one most days.

Making strawberry slushies with popsicles is super simple!

So when they asked me to partner up with them to tell you all about their Strawberry Fruit Bars and their Fruit and Veggie Bars, I jumped at the chance.

I love that they are made with real fruit, veggies and fruit juice and I can easily pronounce all of the ingredients on the label. There are no artificial colors and flavors and no high fructose corn syrup. They taste amazing too!

Although my kids enjoy the popsicles as-is, they also love this fun summer slushie treat I make with them. It’s super easy to make and you only need two ingredients. You can make them in minutes!

Strawberry Slushies in store

I headed to my local Walmart store and picked up a few of our favorite varieties. We really love the fruit bars and the fruit and veggie bars! Their yogurt bars are a new favorite.

Outshine fruit bars are a great summer treat for kids.

Making the Strawberry Slushies

Ingredients:

  • 3 Outshine Strawberry Fruit Bars
  • 1/2 cup of water

Slushie recipe that requires only 2 ingredients!

Directions:

Leave the fruit bars out for about 15-20 minutes so they can soften up. You don’t want them to melt, just get thawed enough to break apart from the stick.

Make slushies from popsicles for an easy summer drink kids love!

Put the popsicle pieces in the blender and add 1/2 cup of water.

Blend the popsicle and water until it is a slushie-like consistency. Add more water if it is too thick. Do this in small increments to avoid it becoming too watery.

Pour in cups and enjoy!

This makes enough for my two children to have about 6-8 oz each. It filled one large glass as shown in the pic above and I split it between the kids.

You can even add some ice in place of one of the popsicles to make it go further and limit their sugar intake a bit more.

Kids will love cooling down with this fun summer snack that is made with real fruit and fruit juice!

My kids absolutely love it! They rarely ever get a slushie when we are out at restaurants because they are so full of stuff I don’t want them to have, so when they get one of these they are thrilled.

I also plan to make a slushie with some of the fruit and veggie bars soon. I am sure we will be enjoying this treat all throughout summer!

If you would like to try Outshine® bars or hear more about them, you can head out to Walmart on the weekend of 7/14 to check out a sampling demo.
